Ghost was released as a long-awaited single earlier this year. One out of 12-15 songs that the band had been working on for more than a year. Shitloads of rehearsal recordings and nerding in the studio lead to this rather catchy song. The lyrics are always the last piece of the jigsaw that falls into place. The song was added to the live set in Stavanger and Leeds in the fall of 2024. Yevheniia Nakonechna does the artwork.
The title track from our first EP, where you can choose from 3 versions (on the physical copy). I found that kind of annoying when I played it on the cd player in my car. I enjoy playing this song live. It has got a dangerous edge to it. Check out the video on youtube. It is made by Jon Helge Hesby - a horrormovie - enthusiast from Jæren. I think it is really cool. Arni and Me went to the premier screening in some old movie theatre in Sandnes.
Then we went for drinks. The rest is classified.
One of those songs that Tommy worked and re-worked many times before he was happy. The first version had a whistled intro, which I really liked. It underlined the Spaghetti Western/Ennio Morricone feel of the song, which I also get from the lyrics. It is an essential part of our live set. Often the opener. One of my favourites.

I first saw Long Night in 2015 in the Uk , at a festival , I had heard “Wintersong” ( one of my favourite songs ) and had arranged to place it on a compilation CD , but seeing them perform Live was way beyond expectations , the performance was absolutely flawless.
This was the beginning of a great Label / Artist relationship , culminating in the release of “Barren Land “ in Dec 2018 , which sold out in a few months . The Album received much Critical acclaim .
The Pandemic hit in Dec 2019 but the album received a second press in May 2020 . Long night had recorded a track called “ Tick Tock “ which was released in March 2020 and second release was April 2020 during the full force of the Pandemic. The year of 2023 , in March , saw the release of a compilation CD , Miscellanies. I believe there is new music well and truly in the pipeline and patiently wait for it to appear and get the long Night project back on track after very Difficult times worldwide.
Exciting times ahead !!

Total professionals onstage and off, my experience working with Long Night was nothing but positive throughout.
Clear and timely with their communications from the outset, Long Night’s representative made sure both parties had a shared understanding of requirements, with no nasty last-minute surprises, and was always ready to explore different options to ensure the show could go ahead to everyone’s satisfaction. As a promoter, I find this is rarer than it should be, and it really is a godsend to know that all the details have been nailed down in good time.
On the day, Long Night were a pleasure to work with, being punctual for load-in and soundcheck, which was swiftly completed with good communication between band and resident engineer. As we’d got five bands on the bill that day and a particularly tight schedule, this professionalism was especially appreciated. Their first time at the venue, and following some local favourites, the bar was set high for them, but they cleared it with aplomb. Playing to a mix of their own fans, and gig-goers who’d never heard them before but were quickly won over, feedback from the crowd was universally positive.
An absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish, and a great live act to boot, I’d have no hesitation in putting Long Night on again, should our calendars align, and be confident of them drawing a good crowd on their own account.
